Given an ‘Honorable Mention‘ by Awwwards. The Rum Kitchen approached me with a contemporary design for their previously very standard website. The new design was colourful, confident and we all agreed – pretty damn awesome. The site they had at the time was on Squarespace and they wanted the power of Webflow... so it was a case of completely starting from scratch.

Using the designer’s Sketch file, I produced a pixel-perfect website, which included a custom integration to their email marketing API, as well as booking system and Spotify playlists.

The design was build into a completely bespoke website. Once the site went live it was really well regarded amongst the design as well as the development community, eventually narrowly missing out on a Site Of The Day award but achieving an Honorable Mention at Awwwards.

Following the launch of the site, I helped The Rum Kitchen to produce one of the industy's first dynamic menus with logic to tailor the menu to different allergies and dietary requirements.
