As a developer for Future Strategy Club, I had the pleasure of building the CXO Webflow site from scratch. The project involved migrating the site from Squarespace CMS to a bespoke website with a fresh new design provided by the Future Strategy Club team. Our goal was to create a site that offered a seamless user experience where visitors could easily consume and discover more relevant content. At the same time, we wanted to empower content editors to build and update pages quickly and efficiently every time a new magazine issue was published.
To achieve these goals, we designed a flexible modular system that allows content editors to build unique pages with custom post types such as articles, videos, podcasts, issues, authors, and more. We made sure that this system remained within the brand and design constraints. With this dynamic set-up, content editors can easily handpick the articles, videos, or podcasts they want to display in each module or select categories of content for modules to pull in relevant content automatically. This approach significantly reduced the time required to set up new pages and publish new issues or topics.
One of the key features of the CXO Webflow site is the keyword search functionality that allows visitors to quickly find what they are looking for. We also added subtopic tags that enable visitors to click and find similar content easily. The site includes various multimedia elements such as embedded Soundcloud podcasts, videos, moving GIF images, and author/contributor pages that showcase their published content.
Although not visible on the frontend, I am proud of the site's modular system of 'blocks.' Content editors can add, remove, reorder, and customize blocks precisely to create pages filled with rich content while still adhering to the brand and design guidelines.
Overall, I am pleased with how the site turned out, and I hope you like it too!
Take a look!
